The quick answer:
host: enter yourdomain name here
directory: enter "httpdocs" without the quotes of course
login: enter username as given
password: enter password as given
(standard FTP port 21)
DISCUSSION:
1. Open Dreamweaver Application.
2. From the Site menu, select New Site …
3. to follow along here, switch from the "Basic" tab to the "Advanced" tab in the top of the window now open in Dreamweaver
4. Under Category on the left, select Local Info although it should be chosen as such by default.
Here you only need to fill in the Site name and make a selection for the local root folder.
I usually call the Site name the exact url of my site. eg. crestonecreations.com. You enter YOUR domain name.
For the local root folder, choose the folder on your computer where you will store your website files locally. (you work on the files on your computer and then when you are satisfied with them you put them up to the server and then they are "live" at that time.
The other fields you can fill in, but it's not essential.

5. Under Category on the left, select Remote Info
6. For use with Crestone Creations
server, make sure your window is configured as
per:
- -FTP Host - yoursite.com/org or whatever
- -Host Directory must be “httpdocs” for use with Crestone Creations
server.
- -Login - (username) must be the same as what was given to you by Crestone
Creations.
- -Password must be the same as what was given to you by your Crestone
Creations.
- -Check In/Out: enable this feature if more than one person / location will
be modifying files on your web site. The checkout name is usually your name, Email
address is your email address for the benefit of someone else who wants to
work on a file who needs to contact you.
7. Click the Test button, and a pop-up window will appear
like this:
8. Click OK.
9. Click Done. …and you’re done!
